This week's coasters have some great headlines that really work well together... There's one about Women Votes and Hillary Clinton, then there's one about Princess Diana's mother calling her a whore! I thought that was a good juxtaposition.

So far I've stuck with english headlines, but i'm going to start looking into other languages. We'll see if that actually translates to an actual coaster?!

Treasury City!

So I got an Etsy convo today from a great Etsier named MariFairy! She let me know that she had made a treasury for newbie etsiers who "needed a little time in the limelight" and she included a set of my Daily Headline Coasters! Thanks Mari for giving me the heads up. You definitely have the truest sense of the etsy spirit that i just love about this community!

I then started poking around the list of treasuries and found that I made it into 2 more lists! Treasury City Here I Come! Thanks so much to Daniellexo for including my Wine Ring Cocktail Napkins in her wonderfully curated set!



And here's a shout out to Cynmb for including my Scrabble Board Coasters in his treasury! Those coasters are definitely an acquired taste for some true board game fans!

Daily Headlines 2008 Coasters - Set 2


I found the headline above only after a big discussion with some friends over a bottle of Banana beer (Chapeau Banana!), about whether the story was about twins that were separated at birth, or whether they were conjoined twins and literally separated at birth.

I'm having too much fun collecting and editing these titles for my sets of coasters! My favourites this week are "Golden Globes crippled by strike" and "Nano second to none"... Funny note about the Nano headline is that it's not referring to the Ipod but rather a new car... the cheapest on the market... produced by an Indian company called Tata motors. It's also being coined as the People's Car because it's so affordable! And it's cute too!

Daily Headlines for each day of the year! I am so excited to get this project off the ground!

Here's the jist of it... In an attempt to get into a better habit of reading the news daily (... and not just gossip blog news!), each week I'm going to make a set of 7 coasters that highlight one major front page headline for each and every day of that week.... 7 coasters... 7 headlines!

So from Monday to Sunday I'll be gathering headlines, Sunday I'll produce the set, and the next day I'll post them on my etsy shop.

Happy New Year!!

This is going to be a good year! I'm excited about all the new crafty goodies that i'm working on, and i'm even more excited about the ones that are still just little nuggets of ideas that are still roasting in my brain!!! (What... roasting?!)..

2008 has already been a blast. I rung in the new year with my friends whom i just 100% LOVE! and then, when I came home from a night of super fun, I checked out my etsy shop and found that I had already made a Sale. My first sale of 2008 was made only hours into the new year! If that's not a good sign of things to come in 2008 then i don't know what is!


The sale was also for one of my favourite items... one that I hold dear to my heart... My Classifieds Coasters!! Cuz finding a great apartment in the city is always easier with your drink of choice along side for the heart breaking and exhausting task of finding the perfect place. (Which thankfully I don't have to do for a while!!! Yay 2008!)
